Despite Dr. Seuss' notoriety for light-hearted children's books, six of them, "Scrambled Eggs Super!" "On Beyond Zebra!" "If I Ran the Zoo," "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street," "McElligot's Pool," and "The Cat's Quizzer" were banned for their messages of racism, sexism, and cultural appropriation.
