The Associated Student Body commissioner meeting was held March 5 to inform students who were interested in joining ASB.
Reggie Chatman, next year’s ASB class president led the meeting along with Andrew Jung and Claire Noemer, next year’s ASB vice presidents.
The meeting was held in room A-8 during lunch. The room was filled with many people who were interested in participating in the class.
“[ASB] is the best place where you learn a lot and get the most responsibility,” said Noemer.
To join ASB, students must fill out an application and interview to be considered for the class.
Interviews will be held 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on March 11 and 12.
Within the ASB class itself, the students are divided into commissions.
There are a total of seven commissions: class officer, finance, assembly, dance, human relations, lunchtime activities, and publicity.
Other duties that ASB students have include working at the Student Store, selling tickets at football and basketball games, and participating in spirit days.
Jung said, “A huge compontent of [ASB] is getting the first hand experience of working with a group of people that you will probably never get to experience for the rest of your life.”
The next year’s ASB class positions will be announced on March 14.
