On Mar. 8 and 9, all California high school sophomores were sent to their third period classroom to take the CAHSEE test.
The California High School Exit Exam, also known as CAHSEE, is a requirement for high school graduation in the state of California, created by the California Department of Education to improve the academic performance of California high school students.
When asked if she found the CAHSEE testing to be difficult, Katrina Pahati said, “I think that the CAHSEE was easy, but just long. I don’t think it was really hard at all, the hardest thing was to sit still.”
Sophomores are required to take the ELA (English language arts) portion that is a multiple-choice test along with an essay prompt. The following day sophomores took the mathematics portion with a total of 92 questions.
” I thought the English [section] was easier, but overall the CAHSEE was really boring,” Vladislav Miftakhov said.
Hopefully, within the next couple of months, sophomores will be able to receive their results for the CAHSEE.
