Cartoon: Overdoses come in many shades

Certain brightly-colored pills, powders, and chalklike blocks are currently one of the most significant national health threats. These deceiving substances contain fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid and a leading cause of drug overdoses. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) recognizes “rainbow” fentanyl as a method for drug traffickers to put drugs in the hands of young people, as it comes in forms that resemble candy.
