The Carlmont’s Chamber Choir and Out of the Blue Jazz Choir both performed at the Filoli Gardens Estate on December 29. The Filoli Estate is located in Woodside, California and spans several hundred acres of spectacular gardens and a beautiful mansion.

Filoli hosts a holiday extravaganza during this season annually and Carlmont was included in the festivities this year. These two choir groups performed around noon, serving as part of the musical entertainment at Filoli. Along with Carlmont, Aragon also performed at Filoli Tuesday. A couple highschools in the area were invited to perform at the estate throughout this holiday season as well.

The Carlmont Choirs performed their set of Christmas music carols and other holiday spirited music.

Not only was the Carlmont Choirs’ performances enjoyable for the attendees, but also for the performers as well. Lauren Brugera, junior in the Carlmont Choir program, said “The room we performed in was really really beautiful and the audience was appreciative.”

A couple other students including Brugera enjoyed their time on this field trip, and hope for a repeat of this field trip in the future.
