As more and more people have started using smartphones, the technology they are built with has developed into a substitution for personal computers. This year is set to release dozens of new smartphones with more amazing technology.
Here are the top five most anticipated smartphones of 2012:
1. Nokia Lumia 900
Nokia’s latest Lumia series phone will run Windows 8 Apollo OS. With a single core 1.4GHz CPU and one GB of ram, Nokia fans are waiting to see if the Lumia succeeds it’s predecessor. Among other features, it will have a massive 4.3 inch screen with ClearBack technology. It’s camera is crystal clear, with Carl Zeiss optics. Two models will be available, with 16GB and 32GB.
2. HTC Elite
Also known as the elite/conressional, this 4G windows phone is expected to launch in late February. Including a quad-core processor and Beats Audio by Dr. Dre, this smartphone is for music lovers with it’s high sounds quality and excellent memory.
3. HTC Edge
Another quad-core processed smartphone from HTC, but what sets this one apart is it’s 720 x 1280 resolution and HSDPA speeds up to 20MBps. It includes HD video recording with an 8MP camera.
2. Apple iPhone 5
This year iPhone users were disappointed when the iPhone 4S came out because they expected a whole new iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 is expected to have a new design with a larger screen of 720 x 1280 pixels. A quad core processor will also be included to keep up with the speed of other smartphones. The expected release is June.
1. Samsung Galaxy S III
Samsung Galaxy S phones are known for their superior performance and computer power among all smartphones. Its new 32nm chip will come with 50% better graphics performance and 30% less battery consumption. Rumors say it may also have a 2GB ram.
