Nay for Mango Bay

Located near Nob Hill in Redwood Shores, Mango Bay adds a Malaysian cuisine to the area.

Its menu contains many different options for vegetarian eaters, along with multiple curry and noodle dishes. Along with alcoholic beverages, they serve Coke brand sodas.

This restaurant is a sit and eat style, so the service is not immediate. It only takes about 10-15 minutes for the food to arrive after ordering. For the most part, the restaurant is empty even on weekends.

Overall, the customer service wasn’t great. They just tossed the plates onto the table, and the dishes didn’t seem to be completely clean.

The portion sizes of each dish are more then enough to feed two people. I ordered the basil chicken and the Malaysian sizzling chicken with white rice. The Malaysian chicken was on the blander side and it was cooked with a lot of excess oil. The basil chicken had a lot more flavor and contained different types of vegetables, but like that Malaysian chicken, it was cooked with lots of oils.

According to Ravina Gujral, “the quality of the food has dropped more and more every time I go there. To top it off, the price isn’t worth the food it’s being spent on.”

Overall: 1/5 stars
Price Range: $$$
Party Size/Type: Any
