Prom is usually labeled as one of the most memorable experiences a student may have in high school. It’s one special night where students can cruise up in stretch limousines and dress like movie-stars.
Carlmont’s prom was a largely attended event as it took place at the Sofitel Hotel in Redwood Shores on Apr. 10 from 8pm to midnight. This year’s prom theme was “A Red Carpet Affair,” a Hollywood-like experience that gave students a glamorous feel.
Students danced the night away to popular songs such as “Raise Your Glass” by Pink, “I Got a Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas, and numerous songs by Justin Bieber. “I had a lot of fun dancing. The songs were pretty good and the flashing lights were really cool,” said senior Alexandra Corvello.
Students nominated and voted for the prom king and queen candidates. This year’s prom king title was awarded to Keane Heller and prom queen was granted to Karen Wright.
