[media-credit id=10 align=”alignnone” width=”300″][/media-credit]Thursday, March 8, Carlmont track participated in the second meet of the season against San Mateo High School.
With the previous meet against Westmore successful, the competitors were eager for more.
Among impressive races was the 200 meter. Elliot Surovell won this race, beating the CCS Top 10.
Other players were happy with their personal results. Claire Noemer commented, “Personally I think I did good. I won the hurdles race and I did pretty good for my first shot put attempt.”
But the track team does not solely emphasize personal achievement.
In years previous, track has consistently dominated in league. The team hopes to continue this tradition especially with all the talent.
The team is competitive, but it still aims at giving kids a fun season.
Ethan Lee commented, “Even though I wasn’t first in my races, I put a lot of effort into it and I was able to pass some people. It was a lot of fun overall.”
The next meet is on Thursday, March 15, against Mills at Carlmont.
