[media-credit name=”Conrad May” align=”alignnone” width=”300″][/media-credit]Although Varsity Carlmont lacrosse still has a losing record, they have been making progress.
The Scots, who have a 0-3 non-league record and a 1-3 league record, are making progress from last year.
So far, they have lost to Sacred Heart Cathedral, Los Gatos and Palo Alto, all three of the games were non-league.
They started off the season losing to Palo Alto 1-13, then losing to Los Gatos 3-17. The Scots then followed up that game by beating Leland 13-7, their second win in Scots history, after only winning one game last year.
The Scots then lost their next game to Sacred Heart 6-8.
Junior varsity team captain Silas Pang said, “I am very proud of varsity because they won a league game which are the most important. They have been working very hard and it has paid off.”
Although they are undefeated in league play, this was the only game they won last year, following the exact same record they had at the same point last year.
“I think we will be better than last year because we have more people playing this year and more people are interested in the sport,” commented Scott Harris.
After following the same start as last year, hopefully the Scots will win some more games this year.
