The recent wet weather in the Bay Area has negatively affected Carlmont’s baseball team.
The baseball field is currently covered with many puddles of water and mud, making it very difficult for the team to play.
Due to the unusual amount of rain, the team is already behind one game, which they are looking to make up soon.
“I hate the rain during baseball season,” laughed assistant coach Rick Lavezzo. “It’s our nemesis.”
The team has tried to work with the weather, moving up games in an attempt to not have them rained out. The Wednesday, Mar. 23 varsity game against Aragon was moved up to Tuesday due to the dry weather. The Friday, Mar. 25 game was re-scheduled to Wednesday, but the large amount of rain led the game to be canceled.
“Hopefully, we will continue to play on Friday if it doesn’t rain,” added Lavezzo.
