“We came out really strong. I am very satisified with the outcome,” stated senior and co-captain Kimberly Bean.
They dominated the second quarter with many shots which became goals. Sarah Fecher, a junior, scored a goal in the first 40 seconds of the second quarter, while junior Chloe Scott wrapped up the quarter, scoring in the last 20 seconds.
The girls scored three goals within the first three minutes. The scots didn’t waste a second of the seven minutes, scoring 11 points in the first half.
Kristen Denney, a sophomore on the team, made a few breakaway plays, resulting in two consecutive goals, contributing to Carlmont’s lead by the end of the first half.
Other effective plays were made by sophomore Kirra Gould, who blocked many shots on goal. The Scots lost three games and won three, ranking fourth overall in the Bay Division.
“Our team improved more and more each practice and throughout the season,” commented Bean.
Their win against Aragon has qualified the Lady Scots to participate in the Central Coast Section Championships.
