Cartoon: Breaking records on and off the court

Two college basketball records were broken in a matchup between Iowa and Ohio State. Iowa’s Caitlin Clark became the highest-scoring Division 1 basketball player, passing LSU star Pete Maravich. A high of around 4.42 million viewers were drawn to the match, breaking the record for the most-watched women’s regular-season basketball game since 1999. These records will hopefully be a step forward for recognition in women’s sports at all levels. (Grace Stiefel)
