Cartoon: The celebrities’ Super Bowl

The Super Bowl isn’t just about athletes anymore. Rather, it’s about the celebrities in the stands that grab viewers’ attention. With the Taylor Swift effect causing an increase in viewings at the Super Bowl and recent football viewership, many platforms have begun to highlight celebrities as the stars of the show rather than the actual athletes playing the televised sports. Companies shouldn’t show blatant favoritism towards celebrities or athletes. Instead, there should be equal respect and attention given to both parties. (Marlena Reinshagen )
