Friday’s football games were moved from El Camino High School to South San Fransisco High School.
The times were also moved from 3 pm to 7 pm for varsity. The players did not learn about the change until Wednesday afternoon.
The game was moved because the field at El Camino is under construction.
Junior Sam Boyle said, “It’s not a big deal, I like playing at night better anyways.” The movement of the game does not seem to bother the players. The only people it may affect are the parents who were planning on taking time off to watch their children play.
However there are players who like the changed time better.
Senior Joseph Hamdun said, “It’s a lot nicer, it gives us time to rest after school before we have to play and everyone’s more enthusiastic to play at night.”
Hamdun also agrees with Boyle that playing under the lights is more fun than playing during the day. Both the players and the fans agree that it’s better to have a game at night because it turns into a bigger event than just playing in the afternoon.
With playing under the lights the whole atmosphere is changed.
For the game Friday the team planned on having a strong defense and offense to try to tie their current 2-3 record.
