Parents and students are invited to join the Carlmont Intermediate and Advanced dancers for their second annual Winter Dance Show.
The show will be held in the Carlmont Dance Studio at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30 with limited seating.
Ame Secrist, the Carlmont dance teacher said, “I’m excited to see the kids perform. My favorite part is seeing them light up the stage with their smiles.”
The show tells the story of the movie Elf. Elf is a popular holiday movie released in 2003. The movie is about Buddy, a human raised by elves, who goes to New York in search of his father. Elf features actor Will Ferrell and actress Zoey Dechanel.
Last year, the show theme was The Elements of Winter. It had winter related songs including “Winter Song” by Sara Bareilles and Ingrid Michaelson and “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol.
The show includes dancers from both the Intermediate and the Advanced dance classes. Intermediate dancer and sophomore Gianna Schuster is excited for the choreography she will get to perform.
“I love performing for my family and friends. [This show] will get you in the holiday spirit.” she said.
Family and friends are encouraged to come support their favorite dancer and to come enjoy this festive show.
