The show starts off in the year 2030, with the main character, Ted Mosby, who sits with his kids, and through flashbacks tells them how he met their mother. The show leaves fans with the question who the mother is.

“I like how the show has sarcastic humor, and I’m a very sarcastic person so when it comes up, I enjoy that aspect,” said junior Melissa Talgo.
“I think the show is just as good as it was when it started. I love that it’s about Ted in the future talking about the past and that the entire show is based on one question, who’s their mother,” said sophomore Erika Mannie.
The viewers are mainly high schoolers and college students. According to wikipedia.com, it was made because the creators, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas wanted a way to reflect their lives.

The characters Marshall and Lily roughly portray Thomas and his wife. According to policymic.com, the show currently has an average of 10 million viewers per episode.
This season will reveal who the mother is after eight years. Many viewers have been anticipating this moment for a long time.
When asked if she was looking forward to the season finale, Mannie responded “ Of course! Who couldn’t be?!”
Sophomore Sydney Salzman is also excited for the season finale. “I want to know who the mother is!”
