When one drives down S El Camino Real in San Mateo and passes by the address of 3723, they can find a vibrant, packed burger joint on the side. Jack’s Prime offers a great range of burgers that are cooked to perfection.
The ambiance was casual and gave the feeling of a modern diner. They had the booths on the side and the long table acting as a counter, but it all had a nice modern vibrancy to all of the decor.
I ordered the Hot Hawaiian which is a burger with jack cheese, caramelized onions, chili spiked teriyaki, pineapple slices, and lettuce stacked on top of a tender patty. The order came with a Caesar salad.
When I took my first bite of the burger, all the juices just filled my mouth. The caramelized onions delivered a smoky sweetness. The chili spike teriyaki gave a hint of spiciness and finally the pineapple slices gave a fresh sweetness. When all those flavors mixed in with the smoky flavor from the patty, it was perfection.
To go along with my burger, I ordered a root beer float. Jack’s Prime definitely did not skimp on the ice cream and gave me a good serving of the drink.
The service was spot on. They sat me down quickly and took my order promptly. The food came out in roughly twenty minutes and the waiter would check up on me periodically to make sure I was enjoying my food. They made me feel at home and comfortable.
The bottom line: Jack’s Prime featured great food, friendly service, and casual ambiance. This is the perfect place for friends and family wanting to enjoy a nice and relaxing meal.
