After high hopes coming into the season, the Scots had a hard start to the new season.
After the team lost its first two games to Palo Alto High School and St. Francis, it is looking to improve on teamwork.
“I think that even though we started the season winless, our team improved majorly,” said Zach Beauchamp. “We got to see our strengths and weaknesses and now we have the opportunity to improve them. We need to work better as a team.”
Many fans were disappointed to see the teams lose but were excited to see improvement from last years season.
After only winning one game since last year, the Scots want to improve every year to try to compete with some of the bigger programs.
“I did not get to see the teams play last year but I hope that they keep improving because I want to win more than one game this year. I think that since more and more kids are interested in playing, our team will get better and better,” Pierce Bartolo said.
Next week, Varsity has a rematch with Palo Alto High school and JV will play against St. Francis.
The Scots look to improve on their last games and come out victorious on their second week of the season.
