The Lady Scots softball team is looking strong after two wins over strong West Catholic league teams, Saint Francis and Saint Ignatius.
On Tuesday, Carlmont played at Saint Francis and came out victorious with a 3-2 victory. Although they were limited to six hits all game, the Scots played some small ball by moving runners over and timely hitting. They were very successful on the base paths stealing four bases.
On Thursday, the Scots went to Saint Ignatius and won using a different winning formula, by getting hit after hit after hit, and winning 18-9. Senior Megan Hansen played a big role in this game, by hitting a two run home run, which is her second of the year. This blast set the pace for the girls on the offensive side of the ball for the rest of the game.
The Lady Scots are looking to keep up this pace in the last week of the pre-season so they can roll into a strong Peninsula Bay league division.
