Cartoon: Oprah and the Rock crowdfund in a cost-of-living crisis

Earlier this month, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Oprah Winfrey announced that they were donating a combined total of $10 million to aid those affected by the devastating Maui fires, asking their supporters to donate the rest. Their $10 million donation is quite modest, considering that it only sums up to be less than half a percent of their combined net worth. Their meek donation makes their crowdfunding request amusing when factoring in Oprah’s 800 acres of property on Maui, worth $6.6 million compared to her donation of $5 million. (Tymofiy Kornyeyev)
