Summer is almost here, and with it comes upbeat music to party to.
“Crazy Youngsters” from the “Pitch Perfect 2” soundtrack is that kind of song.
“Pitch Perfect 2,” which came out on May 15, was the sequel to a movie about college girls who were part of an a cappella group, called the Barden Bellas. (A cappella is singing without any instrumental accompaniment.) Throughout the first movie, the group prepared for singing competitions, winning the final contest.
The song that stood out on the sequel’s soundtrack is “Crazy Youngsters.” It is an original song by Ester Dean, who plays one of the Barden Bellas in the movie.
The music video features some of the cast members of “Pitch Perfect 2,” like Brittany Snow and Anna Camp, along with Flula Borg. Seeing the cast in the music video made me even more excited for the movie.
In the video, there are lots of different color schemes and locations which encompass to the liveliness of the song.
In addition, the dancers look happy and free.
Ever since the first movie came out, fans have been demanding a sequel. In addition to the Barden Bellas, many fell in love with the songs and performances.
I have high expectations for this new movie, and I believe “Crazy Youngsters” already meets some of them. I’m hoping the rest are just as good.
Even though I really enjoyed this song, I believe it would have been more interesting if it was sung a cappella like the rest of the songs in the movie.
However, I still think that this song connects with the genre of the movie, which is musical comedy.
With the release of “Pitch Perfect 2” and the approach of summer, “Crazy Youngsters” has already set the mood and has got me really excited for what is to come.
