This is her second year in the journalism program and she is super excited to continue taking pictures for this award-winning program. Junior Zoe Banner-Haimes distributes the ball to her teammates on offense. Banner-Haimes is currently the only JV goalie for the Scots, so she plays the entire game. She is an important part of the team, as responsible for not only protecting the goal, but communicating with her teammates as well.

Freshman Chloe Ken reaches to block an attempted long ball, preventing the Dons from continuing their sprint toward the goal. While the Scots weren’t able to rack up as many goals as they wanted on offense, they did well getting back on defense when they lost possession. “I think we did really well as a team. We did have a big loss, but the score gap was a lot smaller than other games,” Ken said.

Henne is a sprinter and wing for the Scots, meaning she is the first to sprint for the ball, but also must take shots on goal.

Sophomore Sanaa Bharadwaj puts high pressure on the opponent receiving a pass. When defending, players must avoid pushing each other down too far, as that may cause a foul to be called. In this case, Bharadwaj was able to pressure the player to pass back to her goalie, allowing the rest of the Scots to get back on defense.
