The tutoring center offers students help with various subjects including English, math, science, and history, provides a quiet place to study, and the opportunity to improve grades.
“The tutoring center was really helpful for me last year because the teachers were able to sit down with me and explain the things that I didn’t understand,” commented Byron Wu.
This year, the center is being held in the computer lab, room D-23. This will allow students to not only receive extra assistance on their assignments, but also be able to type up a paper, complete NovaNet, do research, and use the internet.
“I went to the tutoring center a lot last year and it really helped me out,” added Alan Jiang. “I was able to see a big improvement in my grades.”
Chemistry teacher Hai Nguyen regularly encourages his students to go to the tutoring center after school. “Of course I tell my students to go. They will receive more help and get better grades to go to college,” stated Nguyen.
The tutoring center is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays in room D-23 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
