Village Host Pizza is truly the family-oriented restaurant that the name implies. With pizza as well as wings, pasta, salads, and sandwiches, it is a casual hangout spot for students, families, and people who want to stop for a quick bite of simple Italian.
Located in Carlmont Shopping Center on Alameda de las Pulgas in Belmont, it is a popular spot for students after school because of its close distance from both Ralston Middle School and Carlmont High School. With moderate pricing, it is no gourmet pizza but known to be much better than chain pizza joints. The toppings are always fresh and the crust delectable, making it worth the price and the visit.
“It is my favorite pizza place! I always come here whenever I’m hungry after school because it fills me up and it tastes great,” said a regular customer.
Village Host has light-hearted and hospitable employees that always have a smile on their face, which makes customers feel happy as soon as they walk in. There is the seating area for meals as well as the bar area; a great place to watch sports and catch up with friends.
When I went, I ordered the Pesto Chicken pizza. The pesto was plentiful, the cheese melted to perfection, and the crust perfectly cooked. It was a great meal and I would order it again. Its reputation is great and many are in favor, calling it their favorite pizza place in Belmont.
