The show, called Stagioni di Danza, was a progression of dances through the four seasons. Freshman represented fall, sophomores represented winter, juniors represented spring, and seniors represented summer.
Each dance was choreographed by students from the Intermediate and Advanced Dance classes, and was inspired by a different season. The costumes for each dance were also based on each inspired season.
The emcees, seniors Tyrae Burleson, Marquise Harris, Takeshi Wadama, and Will Zepeda-Campos, introduced each season with a skit. Traditionally, the emcees would introduce each dance, but this year, they only introduced each new season.
The show featured details including lighting and costumes that made the four seasons theme more apparent. Backstage, the dancers had to change into costumes quickly and re-apply makeup for upcoming dances.
It is not only a chance to show off hard work, but also a chance to bond with friends since preparation for the show is so time consuming.
Kayla Wright, a junior in Advanced Dance, commented, “Before the show, it was about two weeks of five hour rehearsals daily. Overall, we became a lot closer and bonded as an entire cast.”
