‘Tis the season for Carlmont Choir’s Holiday Sing-along.
Choir students dressed up as elves, Santa, and even the sugar plum fairy to sing along with some of the season most popular songs.
“The sing along is super fun because it has all the fun Christmas songs and it gets families together to sing,” said junior Emilie Andersson.
Children were encouraged to come with their family members and friends to sing along on Dec. 7.
Not only was this event inclusive for children of all ages, but also for the choir students who will be leading the sing along in costume and all.
“It’s really exciting, and the children get really excited to sing the songs and see the elves. Being an elf is a fun experience and I love being a part of that excitement,” said junior, Lauren Pittock.
The audience recieved a booklet of lyrics to aid in their singing along of those traditional holiday songs, while being led by the choir students.
This is a free community event, however donations are welcomed as a way to raise money for the choir. A bake sale is also offered for refreshments and as a way to make income to help the choir.
“This is such a spirited event,” said Andersson. “Because we have elves and Santa, it gets me really excited for Christmas.”
“The sing-along is a great family experience and always tons of fun,” added Pittock. This is the third annual Holiday Sing-along.
