A fun opportunity to hang out at the beach and engage in fun activities with fellow classmates instead of school? Last Friday Carlmont Academy students of all grades were game.
Leaving at 8:15 in the morning and returning at around 2:30 in the afternoon, students were ensured a half day of fun and games with their peers at the beautiful Venice Beach in Half Moon Bay, CA.
Students were supervised by Academy teachers Jody Humes, Kris Govani, Karen Ramroth, Gregory Schaal and more.
Schaal stated he enjoyed this 15th annual field trip because of its “community building activities” and looked at it as a “chance to get to know my students that I’ll be teaching for the year.”
Students participated in a friendly sand castle building competition which allowed students to work together and have fun in the process.
“It was awesome!” exclaimed Jeff Sudmeier. “I went around and took pictures of all of them and I could tell that everyone was getting along and having a lot of fun!”
Students participated in other activities such as kicking around a soccer ball or just hanging out and bonding with their Academy classmates more.
