The Patty Shack is nothing special, everything is in modesty.
I can’t complain about anything, the food was good, the service was fine and there was plenty of seating. However, the worst parts aren’t the sports bar’s doing.
Driving past the Patty Shack, I knew parking was going to be a problem. It took twenty minutes of driving around Redwood City to find a place to park.
Parking is a hassle to find if you aren’t from the area, but if you are close by it is a perfect walk-in spot. Its small size and walk-up ordering style makes it a great place for teens to congregate and hangout.
When I went, there were no other people in the restaurant. A few showed up later, a family of three and two women. The Patty Shack seemed to lack popularity.
The only discrepancy I had, however, was the parking and placement. A little out of the way, but it has good potential.
I first ordered a soup and grilled cheese, totalling under $10. They were out of chicken noodle, to my dismay,  so I got the butternut squash. I was surprised to have ordered a meal under $10 and have no teenagers in sight.
The food was good, they brought it to my table in about five minutes. The soup was how I expected it to be, and I easily finished the small. The portions of the soup and grilled cheese filled me up just enough, but not too much.
I stayed for about thirty more minutes until I had to go, and enjoyed my stay. Come here if you are in the area and aren’t looking for too much.
The Patty Shack serves a pleasant, modest meal. I give it a seven out of 10. Nothing special, nothing bad.
