Advanced Placement testing starts this week and many people are stressing out in anticipation for it.
“I have my first test on Monday,” said junior Christina Rice. “I’ve been preparing just by reading my notes every night and doing the review worksheets that my teacher gave us.”
Students with various different AP classes are forced to study for the different subjects at the same time. AP testing is typically done during class, in the morning or in the afternoon.
While some students are preparing for AP tests this year, there are also some upcoming AP students that can already feel the heat for next year AP classes.
“I am taking four AP classes next year,” stated sophomore Melissa Wood. “I think that they will be hard and time consuming but I am going to make sure I do the summer homework well enough that I can start class with a strong start.”
As an upperclassman, Rice gave advice to some of the students that will be going into to AP classes next year and how to prepare themselves for the AP test.
“My advice for people next year would be to spread out their studying and not save it all for the last minute because AP tests are stressful and it is way easier when you already know the information before instead of learning it the night before the test,” commented Rice.
In the end, AP tests can prove to be a real turning point for those students that need to take them. Now is the time that they are able to prove how much they have learned and why they deserve to be in the AP class.
