It was difficult for senior Max Holmes to speak. “I’m sorry. I’m just so angry right now,” he said.
After a moment, he sighed and said, “If we had to lose to any group of guys on our Senior Night, I’m glad it was these guys.”
Although the Carlmont Scots lost 5-8 to the Burlingame Panthers, the seniors were proud of their last season as Scots.
From the first quarter score of 0-3 to the second quarter score of 4-3 and finally to the fourth quarter score of 5-8, the Scots did their best and were grateful to play such a spirited game as their final lacrosse game.
Senior Matt Brosnan said, “We persevered through the uphill battle. We didn’t come out on top, but we played it well and both teams put up a fight. I’m proud.”
