[media-credit name=”Cañada College” align=”alignnone” width=”300″][/media-credit]Cañada College will be hosting their annual spring semester dance performance, Dance Motion IV, on Friday, May 11 at 7:30 PM in the Main Theater. The dance show is free and open to everyone, but donations are requested to help fund the dance program at the college.
“We have jazz, modern, ballet, salsa, and hip-hop,” said dance instructor Ana Miladinova. “I also saw some students practicing by themselves and performing dances which were very vibrant.”
The diversity of dance styles and techniques will be an exciting feature showcased during this performance. The dance performance is an opportunity for Cañada students to choreograph and perform their own work.
Similar to Carlmont’s Dance Department, the Dance Department at Cañada College has the goals of “introducing students to the joy of movement through dance” and “improving their level of body technique, performance and expression.”
