Carlmont High School’s Golf Team finished with a very successful season.
With 12 wins and 0 losses, the Scots finished undefeated.
This year, the teams bracket included Menlo Atherton, Woodside, Burlingame, Hillsdale, Aragon, and San Mateo. The Scots beat their rival team, Menlo Atherton, twice during the 2011 season.
This season, there were 12 official players on the team. Out of the 12 players, the top six scores make it into the following match.
The lowest score of the season was by Carlmont senior Patrick Soli, who scored a 35, one under par, in the last match against Burlingame at the Burlingame Country Club.
The weather was unpredictable all season, and there were three matches rained out which were later made up.
“We have a very consistent team,” stated golfer Ryan Tierney.
The Scots stole the PAL title, and hope to repeat their success next year.
“Because of our great coaches, we had a lot of players improve since last year,” said Tierney.
Next week, the Scots will compete in the CCS Finals at the Ranchero Canada Golf Course.
