Cartoon: A multicultural hop into the Lunar New Year

The smell of dumplings, spring rolls, and freshly baked nian gao wafts from the table as lively chatter fills the room. Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, Vietnamese Tet, Korean Solnal, and Tibetan Losarhas, has arrived. It is one of the biggest holidays in many Asian cultures and is based on the lunar calendar, which titles 2023 as the year of the rabbit and the year of the cat for the Vietnamese. (Emma Yin)
