Cartoon: Biden’s Student Loan Debt Relief Plan fails to address larger root issues

President Biden, Vice President Harris, and the U.S. Department of Education recently passed the Biden Administration’s Student Loan Debt Relief Plan.The plan forgives up to $10,000 in debt cancellation to those whose loans are held by the Department of Education and up to $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients. To be eligible for debt cancellation, borrowers must have an individual income of less than $125,000 or $250,000 per household. However, Biden’s Student Loan Debt Relief fails to address larger root issues; such as the high college tuition prices rising 180% since 1980. (Emma Yin)
