[media-credit id=52 align=”alignnone” width=”300″][/media-credit]The new freshman class officers have been determined after an extremely tight election.
Your final results: James Pak is class president, Megan Guillermo is vice president, and Amanda Breslaur is secretary.
Ten overall class candidates attracted an overwhelming crowd of freshman to fill out the ballots Wednesday in the quad.
Pak, who ran in a campaign with Karissa Tom and Leah Roe, was pressed by leadership teacher Jim Kelly on whether he wanted to take on the role without his counterparts.
“I was a little bummed that Karissa and Leah did not win with me, however I am excited to work with Megan and Amanda,” said Pak.
Vice president Megan Guillermo, who ran in a campaign with Jennifer Anthony and Kat Myers, was also faced with the same decision as Pak.
“I took the job without Jen and Kat because I wanted to be in ASB. I know for sure that this will be a great year.” said Guillermo.
Pak’s older brother is Joe Pak, former student body president in 2009-2010. He looks forward to continue in his footsteps.
“As class president I will give 100% effort, I will always tell the truth, I will do my best to represent everyone, and of course the main goal is to have fun,” said Pak.
Pak, Guillermo, and Breslaur are set to begin their terms as class officers as soon as Monday, Sept. 26.
