Senior small forward Ale Nelson attempts to shoot while a Mills player blocks her. The Vikings had an early lead, pushing the Scots to gain more traction. "Getting the win, that’s all I was thinking about. Just scoring, winning, passing, anything I could do contribute to get this win," Nelson said.
In the first quad game of the season, both varsity girls and boys basketball took home wins for the Scots. The varsity girls finished 48-45 against the Mills Vikings, while the varsity boys scored 74-62 against the Jefferson Grizzlies. Both games featured halftime performances by Carlmont’s dance and cheer teams, with high attendance in the Screamin’ Scots student section.
