Recently, NFTs have been attracting the attention of many people due to celebrities and companies endorsing the cryptocurrency. However, NFTs have proven to be extremely harmful to the environment because of their carbon footprint, with one NFT producing enough carbon to match two months’ worth of electricity use in an EU home.
