Cartoon: Inflated Big Mac

A restaurant in Connecticut has been known for its $18 Big Mac Combo Meal. This is a reflection of rising prices across many fast-food restaurants. The culprit of this inflation? Better wages for low-income workers. Rising prices were initially caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, where a labor shortage enabled workers to demand higher pay. The higher cost of fast food is a price that needs to be paid to ensure people get the income they deserve. (Keira Sarmiento)
