Cartoon: University of California employees go on strike

University of California (U.C.) workers started their strike this week. Over 48,000 graduate, academic researchers, post-doctorate researchers, and other employees of the U.C. system have been on the walkout, primarily because of the high cost of living in California. The United Auto Workers (UAW) organized this strike, demanding higher wages, childcare support, and full funding for public transport. Glydelle Espano
