In a closely contested match that ended 8-7, Carlmont varsity baseball lost their Saturday matchup against the Mountain View Spartans.
Despite the Scots mounting a late rally with four runs in the seventh inning after only managing three runs in the prior six innings, the Spartans ended their hopes of victory via a walk-off in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the loss, the Scots drop to a 4-5 record in the lead-up to their league games.
The Scots are scheduled to play their first league game this Friday, March 24, 2023, at 4 p.m. The game has been moved to the College of San Mateo’s sporting facilities, where Carlmont will take on the King’s Academy Knights.
