Senior Brian Sagon jumps up to catch the ball. Sagon was able to avoid the tackle and gain more yardage for the Scots. Sagon's efforts helped his team gain 35 yards, which sparked momentum early in the game.
Marking the second game of the season, the Carlmont varsity boys football team suffered a tough loss against the Menlo Knights 49-41.
During the game, teams traded touchdowns, making it a back-and-forth battle. Ending the first quarter in a tied game, the Scots were able to outscore the Knights and take the lead throughout the second and third quarters. They entered the fourth quarter up a touchdown but failed to maintain their lead. Scoring 21 points, the Knights stole the game from the Scots, resulting in a devastating loss.
The Scots will continue their season in an away game against Monte Vista Christian.
