Families of Sandy Hook victims announced a $73 million settlement with the rifle maker Remington, making it the first case that a rifle maker is held accountable for a mass shooting. Families are also focusing on bringing to light Remington’s detrimental marketing strategies, which are geared towards a young male audience that is “unsure of its masculinity” and therefore more likely to purchase a weapon.
