Cartoon: Hiding in plain sight

Workers hide in the shadows and in their homes to avoid Immigration and Customs Enforcement. With Trump’s executive orders, ICE has been encouraged to conduct arrests in public facilities and establishments. With this new development, fear of deportation from immigrants has compelled many to stay away from their jobs, local stores, and other establishments, leaving many places deserted from their usual customers. Concerns arise regarding workers deserting jobs, possibly causing inflation rather than going down through the roof. Mass deportation is not the answer to the immigration problem, and it will just cause more problems and tensions to rise. (Marlena Reinshagen )
