Cartoon: Neuralink’s mind games

Neuralink Corporation is an American neurotechnology company founded by Elon Musk and other scientists working on implantable brain–computer interfaces. Launched in 2016, Musk has faced heavy controversy regarding animal abuse-related deaths in the Neuralink experimental process. Neuralink recently released a video displaying one of its patients, Noland Arbaugh, using the chip to control his computer. Despite Musk’s goals to allow patients with severe paralysis to control technology with their minds, many wonder about the ethics and safety surrounding the product. (Skylin Lui)
