Cartoon: The Wave of the Decade

The Wave of the Decade
On Jan. 8, Pete Mel, a local surfer, rode what many consider “The Wave of the Decade.” The wave was 40-50 feet, located at Mavericks Beach in Half Moon Bay. To the left are some of the biggest waves surfed in the world. (Brynn Toomasson)
