Cartoon: Baldwin’s Elephant in the Courtroom

Alec Baldwin was recently charged with involuntary manslaughter over the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. The tragic death occurred more than a year ago on the set of the upcoming film “Rust,” in which Baldwin plays the lead role. Baldwin’s trial has brought attention to the controversial use of real firearms loaded with blanks on film sets. The debate has also led to criticism of the general lack of regulation of deadly weapons in the United States, as no one on the film production team could explain how a loaded gun found its way on set.
