During the Coronavirus pandemic, racism towards Asian Americans has increased. In response, the “Stop Asian Hate” movement is making its mark across national communities. Getting the stories of those affected is important, especially those in our Carlmont community.

Phoebe Gulsen is a senior and is Editor-in-Chief of the Carlmont Journalism Scotcenter program. She produces mainly human interest and social justice videos, in hopes of providing a deeper story through local news. Gulsen is a graduate of the 2021 Boston University Summer Journalism Institute and over the past three years, has earned national and international awards for her work. She takes part in several extra-curricular activities, including advanced choir, varsity lacrosse, and philanthropy work through National Charity League.
