As time progresses, more and more factories are becoming machine operated, but in San Francisco, one factory, known as the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Company, is the last standing homemade fortune cookie factory in the country. Although it can’t compete with the speed or volume of other cookie factories, the company is determined to stay in business to give tourists, school children, and even celebrities like Klay Thompson a glimpse into Chinatown’s history.
