Although elections are left to the states in Article I of the Constitution, Congress has nevertheless implemented certain regulations on them. In 1845, Election Day officially was mandated as the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Thus, making Election Day a federal holiday would not be impossible, promoting higher voter turnout, lessening election stress, and flipping negative narratives around the day overall.

Many individuals of Native American ancestry remain distrustful of the state and skeptical about the actual impact of Gov. Newsom's legislation requiring California public schools to teach the historical maltreatment of Native Americans. "I wouldn’t expect anything to happen in the next four to six years, and I'd be lucky if it does within that time frame," said Loyd Mathiesen, the tribal chairman for the Chicken Ranch Rancheria Me-Wuk Indians of California. "They often pass measures they have no intention of implementing, just to silence people.”

A long-standing divide between Apple and Android users remains; one indication is the color of their text messages. Apple's distinct blue-colored bubbles are a defining feature amongst its products, opposing those who own Androids. Androids' green messages and other limits on features are used to outcast products not from Apple. However, this marketing tactic has been under fire from the U.S. Government, which has filed a lawsuit against Apple, accusing the company of abusing its power to monopolize its rivals and consumers. With Apple's worth close to $3 trillion and the addition of features such as Apple Pay, the Justice Department alleges that Apple undermines the quality of rival devices to maintain its high value. With the rapid acceleration of melting ice due to global warming, polar bears find their homes in jeopardy. Forcing the beautiful bears to scavenge on the shore, a feat that they are not equipped for. Polar bears cannot evolve at the rate needed to survive these drastic changes. In addition, the increased stress caused by their changing environment has proven to have numerous detrimental effects, such as sped-up aging, starvation, and energy loss. Scientists had even found a deceased polar bear resembling a fur rug after traveling hundreds of miles searching for ice. Many wonder if this saddening display of climate change will finally stress the changes needed to prevent further damage.

On the second day of Donald Trump's defamation trial, brought by writer E. Jean Carroll, the judge threatened to remove Trump from the courtroom. Trump was asked to lower his voice as both the jury and the victim could overhear his audible commentary on the case. This is not the first trial where Trump has misbehaved; in a civil fraud trial with Judge Arthur Engoron in New York state court, Trump was warned that he would be removed as a witness. Throughout the trial, Trump showed visible disagreement through hand gestures and facial expressions, as well as referring to the judge as a "Trump hating guy" before his departure.
